In-person Sunday School

We are VERY excited to offer in-person Sunday School for children in Kindergarten-5th grade!

You may enter the church building from either the east or the west side. Due to the Children's  Wing construction, we will meet in Oerter Hall. A Grace Commons KIDS team member will be  outside Oerter Hall at 9:50am ready to welcome children into the room. Before check-in, please  make sure your child:

✔ is healthy ✔ has a mask

✔ is prepared to be outside (as weather permits) ✔ has used the bathroom

Children will be assigned a special “spot” on the floor. Siblings will be grouped together to help minimize risk and exposure. Each child will have a worship bin with items to enjoy. During the hour, we  will play an active game together and then enjoy singing and dancing for Jesus followed by an engaging Bible lesson and discussion. If the weather allows, we will play outside in the Courtyard, where we have planned individual activities.

Health Check: Before entry, families will answer a series of health questions for their child. Hand Sanitizer: Upon entry and exit of our space all children will sanitize their hands.

Masks: We ask that all children wear a mask while inside our church.

Social Distance: We will do our best to set kids up for success to socially distance from one  another while in our programs and minimize the sharing of common toys/resources. We  understand that not all children are suited for socially distanced Sunday School. If a child has  too much difficulty "staying in their spot and maintaining social distance," he/she will not be  able to attend during this time.

Bathrooms: If a child needs to use the bathroom during our program, a KIDS team member will  walk the child to the bathroom, making sure it is not in use by someone else. The team member will  wait outside the bathroom to help the child sanitize their hands and walk back to class.

Cleaning: Our space and all toys/supplies will be disinfected before and after each Sunday School class to assure a sanitized experience for all.

We have not forgotten about you!We prioritize the safety of our children and volunteers. Due to the  construction of our Children’s Wing and the difficulty of this age demographic not being able to  sit still for very long and safely monitor items going into their mouths, we are unable to provide nursery & preschool care at this time. We truly miss our little ones so much!

We know worshipping together in the Sanctuary can be challenging when small children need to  move. If you need to step out, you are welcome in the Narthex, where you can listen to the sermon.  We also have a comfortable Parlor with a few toys available for your child to enjoy, staying socially  distanced of course!
