What to Expect

We know navigating a new church amid the Sunday morning hustle and bustle can be an intimidating experience, so we've provided some general information below to help you plan your visit to Grace Commons.

Be sure to stop by our Welcome Center, just outside the Sanctuary, to ask questions or to just say hello!

How to Get Involved

If you are wondering how to get connected beyond Sunday mornings, contact Lindsay at lindsay.waymire@ gracecommons.org, and she will match you with just the right small group, class or volunteer opportunity. You can also find upcoming activities on our events page or in our Sunday Morning Bulletin.

Sunday Worship

Our 9:30am Sunday morning worship service is a convergent experience that values traditional and modern elements of worship. Both our church choir and worship team lead worship each Sunday. Our sermons are Biblically based and applicable to life today. If you are unable to attend in-person, we also offer livestream worship.

Sunday School

Nursery care for infants-2 years old is offered at 9:30am. 3 years old-5th grade children are invited to start in our worship service and then attend Sunday school after the Time for Kids lesson (children may also remain with their parents in the Sanctuary). Visit our welcome center outside of the Sanctuary to get your child checked in before the service begins. Learn more here about Grace Commons Kids.

What to Wear

We love that you are here. We want you to know that whatever you are wearing is perfect to join us in worshiping Jesus. Some visitors will dress in traditional church attire while others dress more casually.

Parking

We are located at 1820 15th Street in Downtown Boulder between Canyon Blvd and Walnut St and 15th & 16th Streets. Those who have mobility issues can park in our parking lot located off of 15th St. On Sunday mornings, street parking is free as well as in the parking garages at 1500 Pearl and 1400 Walnut.

Entering the Building

On Sunday mornings, you can enter the building at the 15th Street entrance off of our lower parking lot or at the 16th Street entrance near Canyon Blvd. Door greeters will be at either entrance to welcome you beginning at 9am. Please don't hesitate to ask them to point you in the right direction.

Prayers

Every Sunday, trained prayer ministers are available to pray with you after the worship service at the front of the Sanctuary. Whether your request is physical healing, an emotional need or a loved one you'd like lifted up, a prayer minister can join you in bringing it to our gracious Lord and bless you.

Communion

On the first Sunday of every month we take communion together. Any follower of Jesus is welcome to join us. When it comes time to take Communion, all congregants will remain in their seats. The communion elements will be distributed to each pew—first the bread and then the juice. The bread is a gluten-free matzo.

Giving

We are grateful for every gift, no matter the size, as it is an investment in our ministry here in Boulder County and beyond. Drop your gift in the offering plates, giving boxes in back of the Sanctuary, text the word GIVE to 720.738.6400 or visit our website.

Time to Connect

After worship each Sunday we offer a time to connect over great coffee in the Narthex (just outside the Sanctuary doors). There are comfortable nooks in our Atrium to sit down and chat, and a play structure for kids to enjoy while parents visit.

Adult Education Classes

From Sept to May we offer a variety of Sunday morning Adult Education Classes at 11am.
