What makes Doorways English School Special?
Doorways started in 1981 with the vision to provide a friendly and safe place for women to practice their English, build a community and learn more about living in Boulder. We offer small class sizes with trained English instructors who live in the area. Throughout the year we offer a variety of events and activities to help students practice their English and learn more about living in the USA.
Our daily class schedule is set up with an emphasis on conversation and relationship building:
- 9:30–10:15am: Conversation table time and tea time
- 10:15am–11:30am: English Class time
Throughout the year we also offer special events and activities to help students connect and learn more.
Events we offer include:
- Special dinners, potlucks and parties
- Field trips to local places and points of interest (free for students and their families)
- Opportunities to visit homes and practice English with Americans
- Tours of homes decorated for the holidays
- Optional Bible study and connection to events at Grace Commons Church

Tuition & Fees*
- $150 per semester (includes books, tuition, refreshments)
- Childcare is offered at $200 per child. Cash, check, or credit card is accepted
